Term 6, week 5

Term 6 has certainly been a weather challenge throughout, this week being no exception! We have learned an awful lot about what we can achieve with a bit of forward planning and a lot of humping resources about and now feel that we can cope with just about every possible weather, except maybe when it is freezing cold!

The Garden Rangers have been trying to find the Forest School fairies this week. They have made them their own special little fairy doors, and sprinkled fairy food all around the garden to entice the fairies out. It has been very exciting to find the food gone, but sadly, no fairies have visited whilst we are here yet!

They have also thought about their favourite places in Acorns, played lots of football, been on lots of bug hunts, put on a few shows for the adults and generally had a great time.

The Woodland Warriors have continued planting lots of new plants, which they have really enjoyed (we've missed out on our usual planting of vegetables this year due to lock-down so it's been good seeing the children tending and weeding this week). There has been lots of construction, role-playing, painting on the hard standing, foam and paint explorations and two mornings inside whilst there has been torrential rain and no shelter!

Next week is the last week of term for some of our children, all we hope for is for it to be dry!!!! Happy weekend everyone, see you next week. x
