Our Staff
This is the Acorns team. We have a great mix of strengths and skills to ensure we offer all of our children the broadest range of activities possible. With over 30 years experience there's very little we can't cope with!
Helen
Helen – Manager
Level 3 Early Years and Education.
Theraplay level 1 accreditation.
Helen is the settings safeguarding lead.
Before working in Acorns, Helen was the Manager of the Mews nursery in Bath for five years.
Helen has such a kind, caring and gentle nature and the children adore her! She is a bit of an ‘all rounder’, working in both the pre-school team and the forest school team. She enjoys leading a wide range of activities and experiences with the children. Helen works closely with Dena to offer regular Theraplay nurture groups for the children.
Helen is one of our lead wood working practitioners. Offering regular wood working groups to all of the children.
Pip
Pip - pre-school practitioner
Level 3 Early Years and Education.
Pip has worked in Acorns for twenty years! She is a very experienced practitioner.
Pip has a special interest in the well- being and pastoral care of the children.
She has a lovely, gentle manner and enjoys story-telling, singing and literacy based activities.
Out of Acorns Pip sings in a local band called Magpie. Check them out if you get the chance, they play locally regularly and they are great!
Pip works, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Juliette
Juliette – administrator and registration secretary.
Juliette has a degree in law and history, she worked in professional services marketing in London for fifteen years before moving to Bath.
Juliette is an ex Acorns parent, she started to work for Acorns fifteen years ago. Juliette works part time from home. She is a parent’s first contact for all registration enquiries and runs the administrative side of Acorns smoothly and efficiently, we could not do without her!
