WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?

We collect information about you when you make a donation. This can consist of information such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number, bank account details and whether you are a taxpayer.

Widcombe Acorns is committed to keeping personal information secure and has robust procedures in place to do this.

We will not sell or rent information to third parties or share information with third parties for marketing purposes. Widcombe Acorns will never share or give access to personal information to any third party for any purpose, including direct marketing, without consent, unless properly requested by police or tax authorities. In such a case we will inform the individual immediately about what has been disclosed.

HOW WE WILL USE THE INFORMATION ABOUT YOU?

Widcombe Acorns has a valid lawful basis in order to process personal data. This is, we have a legitimate interest in holding data and can show that data processing is necessary in relation to this, and that we balance data gathering and storage against an individual’s interests and rights.

We collect information about you to correctly process your donation.

We may use other companies to provide services on our behalf, including sending emails and analysing data. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

We seek feedback and data to understand why people support us, what we can do to attract more people like you, and how we can inspire and help you spread our story.

We may need to contact you for administration purposes such as your tax status, or to help complete a transaction.

The Widcombe Acorns website collects non-personal information such as IP addresses (the location of computers on the internet), pages accessed, and files downloaded. This process helps Widcombe Acorns to determine how many individuals use the website, how many people visit on a regular basis, and which pages are most and least popular. This information does not reveal anything about who users are; its purpose is to monitor and improve the service provided. The website uses Google Analytics for these purposes.

We use cookies to identify which parts of our website people are visiting. Information supplied in cookies also helps us measure our online marketing to attract more support for our mission.

This information does not reveal anything about who users are; its purpose is to monitor and improve the service provided.
